D4400 (D42T) Main Rocker Arm-Adjusting Screw-Nut-Bushing

More

Hello all-
Got back into my valve issues. Turns out the adjusting screw loosened at some point and was bouncing around and moderately ate into the threads on rocker arm and wore down the adjusting screw to where the screw needs replaced for sure. CAT has it for $6...hard to believe unless that is without the ball tip that fits into the rod cup.

Part numbers
screw: 1A2935
nut: 1B4203
rocker arm: 2F1929
bushing:1F6416

The screw is shot and the threads on the rocker arm are damaged, but will grip a good bolt with a little movement. I'd prefer changing out the rocker, but retapping might be an option. So wondering what thoughts are and anyone has the rocker available. I will see what Florin has Monday. One last question, it seems the adjusting screw should be double-nutted, anyone see a benefit to doing that?

Once I get the valve situated I'll go back to the compression release.

Thanks
