I am restoring a 1966 Military Rough terrain crane. The upper unit is an American 2380. I need 3 rotating unions for the hydraulic clutch linkage on the end of the drum shafts. Some folks call them "Live Joints" Most Americans with hydraulic controls used these Joe "frictionman" 479 236=zero552

Sure the upper controls aren't air operated? I never ran or seen a American with hydraulic controls in the upper other than for the outriggers.

Yes it has hyd. controlls It has three if it has power down Hyd brake master cylinders that the control levers hook to and at the drum there is a swivel that hooks to the end of the drum shafts and provids Hyd brake fluid to run the drive brakes for the drums The outrigges are manual on my 1964 amercian 2360 Truck mounted 20 ton I found at the hyd shop the new seals for mine you have to get the ones that will take the brake fluid Thanks MTMike

I didn't Know American built any crane that wasn't air operated, Thought the hyd controlled cranes were P&H and Link-belt. Mitchell Crane in Texas is where a friend of mine bought the swivels for his 797 American.

MTMike is correct. There are master cylinders at the bottom of the levers just like a P&H. I hope these swivels aren't extinct.
