I live near Charlottesville VA and need an equalizer spring for my D2 5U3441. Even a measurement for the bottom spring length would help.

Might be cheaper to just get the bottom 3 leaves made again to the proper length--sorry but i have a 4u which is narrow gauge and the length is shorter for the spring.

Are you coming to the Carthage show? I have one that might work.

if i have spring trouble i just go to the truck shop that makes all the springs for most of the trucking out fits in the area and you have them made them price is right and your right at home if their is a trouble you can deal with the people that made them for you so far i have had springs made for my 22 and a couple of my D2s and my D4 and no trouble with ant of them

Don't think I am going to make it to the Carthage show. I am going to take it off tomorrow and return it to the spring shop to have them replace the bottom three leaves with the the correct length. I will just measure the gap that I currently have and have them made to that length. I am assuming that they should not go all the way to the track rails so I will allow some free space when I guess the length.

It looks like your missing the rollers at the spring end, or maybe your unit doesn't use them?

the old oblong rollers had flat spots and were pretty well worn. If you look close there are pipe rollers on the bolts!--Also when i got the machine the springs were on top of the rollers!
