Hi all, I'm placing this ad on behalf of a gent who has a 5U for sale. The tractor engine is disassembled as the main oil pressure dropped while pushing on a slope and it ran a bearing. The crank and block were taken to a mechanic who was unable to deal with the fix. Basically, to get it going again, it just needs the crank fixed or replaced, a set of main bearings, and reassemble the whole machine. It's been in the garage since it was disassembled and about the only thing Mike can't (currently) locate are the injectors.
I looked over the machine on Friday and it actually looks in very good shape.
Things to note:
- located in Interlaken NY which is 70mi from Rochester and about 40mi from Syracuse, near Ithaca
- electric pony start
- #41 hydraulic pump on front
- toolbar blade in very good shape
- rails measure just a smidge under 2 15/16", and the sprocket teeth and front idler rims have been replaced
- missing the factory installed dent in the fuel tank : )

Mike would like to offload it either whole (which would get the entire garage bay back in one go), or as parts. It seems in too good shape to scrap, particularly if the buyer had a decent crank (that's the only hard part it seems to need).

All, I should have posted this before:
- 2500 for the whole machine (but you have to take everything) - best deal
- 400 for the pony complete with electric start (idles fine)
- 1500 for the toolbar setup (track frame brackets, cylinders, #41 pump, blade, toolbar arms)
- 1500 for the rails

The other thing is you have to arrange shipping - either come get it or do uShip.com - Mike can help load it on to a flatbed w/winch
