The clutch brake shoe on my D7D is missing. Any suggestions on where I might find a replacement would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the help, gents. I finally got around to the obvious and checked with my local CAT dealer. He had a new shoe assembly on the loading dock for me the next morning. Great to be able to shift without grinding or shutting down!

Just make sure all the adjustments on the linkages are correct for the clutch and brake and the brake should last a long time.

Just thought I'd share my experience with the clutch brake.
I bought a lining off Fleabay- correct part number.
I noted when it arrived from US three weeks later that the lining material was fabric with metal threads and not sintered metal like the one to be replaced.
Any who I fitted it up, installed it and adjusted to the specs, started the beast and engaged the clutch brake. Worked well and so I went ahead and shifted gears etc.
then the brake began to fail and I could see it was wearing badly.
Indeed on pulling it out the lining had almost all gone!!.
Waste of 40 bucks.
So beware, make sure the lining is metal and not fabric!
Now where to get the correct one?
