I had a D25J kitty for several years that had a badly leaking oil cooler. I took some hydraulic fittings and hose and just looped the lines and bypassed the cooler. Didn't seem to hurt anything and as I recall, it didn't run any hotter than before. This was a kitty I bought as a parts machine to fix up another D2 I had at the time and I'll be darned if I didn't wind up fixing 'em BOTH. Then a friend came along and decided he couldn't live without the little critter so I sold it. Still got one, a D35J s/n 5J7186SP with a Hyster winch and straight blade. I haven't restored it but it's still used. As I've recently retired, maybe someday. . . .lol

drujinin, Standard Magneto in Chicago at 1-800-MAGNETO can rewind your coil..also
www.standardmagneto.com/
. Talk to a fellow named Rich as he's the Eisenman guy. Seems to me a Wico replacement for the Eisenman unit is $299.00..I've also seen folks use an external aftermarket coil but how that's done I don't know.

Its been a fun weekend, I was over to the Rock and Dirt show on Saturday.
Wish my tractor ran!
I got the oil lines off this morning and found pin holes where they sat in the dirt. I am taking them to work and see if we can refab them. I want to hookthe oil cooler back up only because there are "Correct Police" out there even for Caterpillars.
I got the mag sparking if I spin it with a drill last night but I still sent a MO to GemDozer yesterday morning for the parts I asked him about.
Did I mention that my water pump doesn't turn?? I can't tell if its an outside bearing, though I sooner think its siezed up inside because the old guy always ran water in it.
Do I need to take off the radiator to change out the water pump?
I spoke to some guys yesterday about the delimma with the STUCK steering clutches. They suggested Mineral Oil (?) and transmission fluid. One cuts the rust and the other is the carrier. Anybody know which is the rust buster??
Where do I get about 5gallons of mineral oil?
If I can't put fine used parts in the Mag, then I am going to resort to sending the Mag out for service.

I am not sure but I think you should take off the radiator and make sure not damaged it and for the stering cluch stuck if you have to do it you can use diesel mixe with w40.
