After 6 months of phone calls with the owner, I was lucky enough to buy this small 15. It has set in the Nevada desert since 1960, when the owners father bought the ranch it was on. There were some parts missing, and sheet metal rusted out but it can be restored. It will be a long project but I am very happy to have it. My neighbor Frank accompanied me on the trip from California. - Wally

Congrats! Glad another nice tractor has been saved, and Frank knows just how to restore them, too. Let us know, with pictures, how the restoration progresses. GWH

Brewzer, it has been bruised some over the years but with some Cat first aid I,m sure you can heal up the wounds. A late timberman & farmer near here had a couple of the old Cat gas jobs he used to skid timber with years ago & they were barn kept but never knew what became of them after his passing.

Shawn, no generater just one light bracket. Doesn't look like it ever had a generater.
Steve, yes the front idler bearings were taken off.
I am still working on getting it so I can move it around. I thought one steering clutch was frozen up but I was lucky and it turned out that the lever was rusted up solid where the ball socket is. Lucky I bought a set of new spring tension bolts as they have been adjusted with a pipe wrench. I thought stuff was preserved in the desert but a lot of rust went on with this one. - Wally
