Hi,
I'm rebuilding my pony motor for my D4 7u (1956?). It needs new rings and and a fresh set of gaskets. Anyone know of a parts guy / distributer that may carry these items. I'm tired of pop-starting my Cat with my JD...

Gaskets are available direct from Caterpillar and their prices are quite reasonable.
Rings are also available but sold individually. You'll have to order two of each for every groove.

I just did mine and had the parts from Cat the next day. Also if you are interested I made a test stand to put water to the block very cheap.

Skip can you post pictures of your test stand. I want to do the same so I can run it before putting it on the tractor.
Cheers,
Neil.
