I'am new to the Caterpillar world. Just bought a RD4 s/n 4g4344. Can anyone tell me what year it was manufactured and what manuals I will need and where I can get them. I have been reading the threads for the last couple of days and I can see already that this is a GREAT bunch of guys to be around and there is so much that I can learn from being around you'll. Thank you ahead of time for any and all help. Rabbit 2

The 4G RD4 came out in production in 1936 so yours possibly came out a year or two later but some guys on here would have a book with exact time it was made. My Cat SNID book only has the start up time of production. Also some guys on here have places that you can get books too for your tractor. Also welcome to the club & yes everyone is more than helpful with your needs so jump in anytime for help & you,ll be answered.

My book shows 4G4344 as a 1937 model. 4G5546 rests in pieces here if you need any parts.

Do you have a lower radiator pan that work on a RD4 s/n 4g4344, if so what are you asking for it? Thank you Rabbit 2
