"For the first time ever the Iowa Land Improvement Contractors Association is inviting all types of antique construction equipment to attend their two day show and demonstration in Melbourne, Iowa, on August 2 and 3, 2007.
"I think it would draw quite a crowd watching our antique machinery working alongside the new construction equipment being demonstrated.
"I have already met with the planners at the site and it looks good for moving and working dirt.
"I will be sending this information to the presidents of Chapters 1, 3, 4, 6 & 7 of the Antique Caterpillar Club and hope to see a good showing of antique equipment on display. All brands of construction equipment are welcomed, working or just on display.

Campgrounds:
Shady Oaks Campground: There are 13 sites with full hookups, plus 2 more with electric only. All 15 sites offer 30-amp service, and 5 of them also offer 50-amp service. Five sites are drive-on (back-off) sites for motor coaches (40-foot units). The other sites accommodate 30-food plus units. Tent sites, with access to shower/bathroom facilities, are available. Larry included a map, but without a scanner, I can't put it up on the bb. Melborune, the little town near the show site, is southwest of Marshalltown, Iowa. The show demonstration area is to the East of Melbourne. From Interstate 80, take the Exit for Colfax and head North on State Highway 14. Note that there is a weigh scale on the West bound lane of Interstate 80 to the West of Colfax.
