Good mourning you'all. I have to replace the collar an rear plate in the clutch assembly, one of the links broke off. I have it stripped down to the trans cover ,brakes backed off, steering clutch adjusters backed out. the shaft that controls the Hyster winch d4 sticks out over the trans cover an i cant see how to remove it. i loosend the set screw an slid the collar forward on shaft a bit but didnt gain anything. Also, the servicemens ref book seemed abit vague about the master clutch linkage , does one just loosen the clamping bolt on the link on the inside end of the clutch leaver shaft and take it off the shaft ? You will have to remove the winch transmission cover and shifter assembly to clear the cover. Disconnect the main clutch (yoke & rod) inside the cover and be sure to place lever in disengaged position so you don't snag the transmission lock-out mechanism when removing the cover (same position when you put it back)

Thanks O M. the cable control unit sits atop the winch so do i have to pull the unit off too? part of the problem is my Cat is on a ranch out in the middle of Nev an im in Reno. I only get out there on weekends to work on it. Thanks again. no dozz
