Gage on 1948 D4? was created by tinytec
My 1948 D4 has two gages on the dash panel. The left-most gage is not readable, possibly it's filled with oil. What does that gage measure? Has anyone ever disassembled a gage and successfully repaired it?

You have two guages, one is going to be oil pressure, the other is engine tempature. If you have never broken into a guage before, I strongly recommend you have someone who knows something about them, work on them. The guages a quite delicate. It doesn't take much to screw one up either.
Good luck

Thanks for the information Mike. I've worked on quite a few gages where you can take them apart with screws. These look like they may be factory-sealed with a crimp around the glass.
