Traxcavator 12A 955 - Autumn pictures

It seems as though there are a lot of in depth trouble-shooting discussions on the BB lately – so – I thought I would give everyone some colorful autumn pictures for something different.

I took the 955 out for a ride this weekend, with my faithful Dachshund Reggie, and we stopped in the forest for some pictures.

Hope you enjoy!

Hi Bill,
Nice pictures.
Got a question for you.....or other 12A owners.
I received an internet inquiry about a problem with radiator overflow.
The 12A uses a screw on cap with what looks like a separate pressure/vacuum valve mounted on the top tank. There is also a tube routed from the vacinity of the water pump to underneath the radiator bottom tank. Can you tell me what this tube does and the function of the seal 1B2258??? Thanks

Here is the parts diagram:

Replied by edb on topic Pump Drive Coupling
Hi OM,
the line is to route grease to the hydraulic pump drive coupling/seal, and the seal is to seal the slip coupling on the pump shaft. The drive coupling/radiator support bracket is mounted off the front of the engine.
From memory there are at least two grease nipples located just inside the left engine side cover to grease both the hyd. pump drive support seal/slip coupling area, and, the hard bar/engine support pin.
Cheers,
Eddie B.

Thanks edb,
I see it listed in the lube instructions section but no clear view. They do show a block with two zerks in the hard bar details but only the bar is connected in the parts breakdown.
That is undoubtably it.

Thanks Bill,
Those would be the ones....thanks for the picture.
I will forward it on to the inquirer as he states the coupling line is missing on his unit.
