Back in June, I posted two casting numbers I found on a belt pulley that we have. However, on 22 June I took a direct lightning strike which fried my computer setup. Now I am back with a new [too expensive] computer, and I've been unable to locate my original post to see if anyone had responded. Can someone help, or must I repost?

My good friend just acquired a D8 Ser.# 2U 8314, and I wondered if someone could come up with year of manufacture? It is a fine looking rig, and has a wet nose.
Another friend has picked up a belt pulley, and the few parts books we have, haven't helped to identify it. All we really have, are two casting numbers. They are, 1A5871 and 2B5960. It is a large pulley, and I think it may have been used on an old primary crusher. It is approx. 14" dia., and 16" in width. I had no ruler handy, so the dimensions are only a guess.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Rog D,

Here's the responses to your last post. Looks like you are just up the road from me as I'm in the Dorr/Hamilton area.

Your D8 was built in 1949, the production numbers for that year start at #2U6419 and end at #2U9205.

Howdy

The casing 2B5960 was used on belt pulleys from the RD7/D7 9G series tractors.

The P/N 1A5871 was from the same pulley but the number is for a dowel holding a bearing inside the pulley so i assume this is the wrong the number

Hope this helps

Billy

Thank you for coming back! I apologize for the news of the lightning strike. It's better to resubmit your request if you're still interested in learning more about those casting numbers. Lightning has a lot of power! Hopefully, this time the community can assist you.
