Will and final from a d8h work in a d8k ??? complete take off ??
Has anyone ever heard off pins and bushings seizing in the rail assembly causing the dozer to pull to side when that pin/bushing comes around the sprocket or idler ???

The main bits are the same, or will fit , the biggest change is in the outer bearing hub, on the K tractor, it is more robust in build,if the f/drive is removed in one lump I dont think you have any problem,to make fitting easy I always fit long studs into the main frame, I lift the final drive using 2 D,shackles through the outer case bolt holes the pins facing out to ease removal then stuff the big lump onto the stud bots, remove the D shackles then bolt it all up, dont use anything other than Cat glue to form the joint, silicon is no good in this joint as it will work its way out in one good shift, the outer bearing will need shimming to the correct pre-load also the dead shaft nut will need a good spannering up,
off to work tctractors.
