After hours of fooling with pony motor I got the deisel motor running again. It had not run in years and was amazed to hear run the first time and thought maybe some fresh fuel would help. I drained what fuel was in the tank and cleaned the gunk out of filters and put fresh fuel in, didn't seem to help. The diesel seems to search like a govener is not adjusted correctly. Does any- one have any suggestion what would be next step?

It could be a tight pump plunger that,s not letting the gov. spring balance things out in it or could be a weight problem not letting things balance out correctly so it will be a job of checking out everything in the system.
