Need Help, late model D2 cooling parts list

More
18 years 3 weeks ago #149 by Steve A
Could someone post the parts breakdown for the radiator assembly for a late D2, the one without a oil cooler, Mine has a oil cooler and needs a new radiator. I am hoping the top and bottom tanks are the same so I can install the larger radiator and trash the oil cooler that is not connected anyway.

Thanks for any help

The answer is yes, they are the same. Do you really need the parts diagram?
I'd rather not be changing my file sizes to match the current attachment size limitations but will do so if you really require it.
The problem with down sizing my files is that I would have to rescan everything to get the larger size back or duplicate file everything.

Hello Old Magnet,

The file size on the previous Cat BB, of 156KB limit per picture and total of 256KB ? per post, by 720X500? worked good for me on the rural phone modem.

The 720 width give full screen without having to scroll sideways, and the 156 Kb gave a quality picture.

Now all my files are like yours, incompatible with this new smaller limitations ??? Why ?? is beyond me !

Also why should I export my pictures to another host,(Image Shack or etc) to move them back to where I want them in the 1st place.

Another thing, when I post pictures (Files) on the Cat BB, they become the property of ACMOC far as I am concerned, or the public domain. Just give me the photo credit.

Maybe JB or GWH will see this and respond.

A yes answer in fine, I am interested to see how it fits. I am guessing the radiator with room for a oil cooler must have a full size top and bottom flange and the oil cooler fits in the void??

Do you have the part number for the larger radiator?

Thanks Steve

Hi Steve A,
Your assumption is correct. The part number for the full radiator core is a #6H9853

Steve A--

No more info than Old Magnet has provided----but attached are parts illustrations on the late model D2 5Us radiator with oil cooler and without oil cooler. As you can see the tanks are the same for both cores.

This information copied from parts book for serial #s 5U13237----5U18894 (ending production).

Hope the atached info is helpful in getting you back to going.

edit: well, don't look like the pics are large enough to read at this scale

full core #6H9853
tank assem #5F1618 (both cores)
gaskets (2) #5F1847 (both cores)

Kelly---

On what scale did you enter your parts illustrations. I had scanned these and then reduced down to below the 640 threshold to post. Can't read mine---yours are real clear.----and was concerned that they would not be readable.

So----what's your secret? May be the old watch fob.;)

DD,
I tried as you did and it came up like yours so I saved it in “ImageShack” and posted it from there. Set your pointer over the photo and right click then click on "Properties" and you’ll see the whole ball of wax, size and etc.

The old watch fob is just hanging around.
