 Old Magnet---

Nico Huisman from the Netherlands inquired about info on a 3 pt. hitch for his D4 over on ACME. I recommended he check with you over here on ACMOC---in the meantime, "cc jersey" posted up the link from the old board.

So I pulled it up and ran through all the posts and pictures again. Haven't had a 3 pt. hitch report in a while
hoping you haven't worn it out yet.

Just a note to let you know that your posts were being revisited----that was a real piece of workmanship.

Man----we gotta move forward on Old Magnet's "Magnetic Quick Hitch". Sure would make it easy for us old timers to hitch to the implements----I believe that we should be figuring on a "draw power" of approximately 10 ft. That way---just get within 10 ft. of the implement----click the switch to turn the magnet "on", and CLUNK----you are hitched up and ready to go.:D

Replied by Old Magnet on topic Old Magnet's 3 pt. hitch
Hi DD,
Interesting that you should bring up the 3-pt topic. I have been doing major work on the hydraulics for the hitch. Acquired enough parts to make my own hydraulic hoses as system is fairly involved. Six lines out using two diverter valves using the #44 single valve pump. Also just hauled home (yesterday) the steel for the ROPS cage, which will be complete with sweeps and hard nose front. Also building a copy ( near as I can figure) of the D4 "attachment" formed heavy duty belly pan and engine guards. Has anyone actually seen one of these? I'm particularly interested in the statement about (Since the equalizer spring is mounted on the subframe, the shocks encountered during severe operations are kept from both oil pan and cylinder block......)
I'll add some pictures in a day or so.
Attached are the Cat items and the HD guard description
