Thought I'd post a few pics I took last weekend running #1. I got about 10 truckloads of broken aspalt and used the 8 to make gravel out of it. Also moved some dirt and stumps.
On Sunday I helped my Dad and the crew move their old Navy ship. One of the last LCIs left from WW2

Thanks for the pictures:D
The comment on the LCI got me thinking, I wonder if there is anything about them on the internet, yes, they have a site about them. That got me looking to see if they had anything on the WW2 "Fletcher Class" destroyers like I had served on. Found an extensive site, including ships roster that included old shipmates that I hadn't heard from in 45+ years. Also found out the disposition of the ship. It was decommissioned from the USN in 1971, and given to the Taiwan navy where it operated up until 1999 after which it was sunk as a fish habitat in early 2001. Not bad for a disposable ship built in 1943. Attached picture USS Mullany DD528

Here's a link to one of the many sites for the LCI. www.navsource.org/archives/10/15/151091.htm
I sure like the classic lines of those Fletcher class Destroyers.

Wow, what a small world. My dad also served on the USS Mullany in the early Sixties and was most surprised that it lasted till 99':) (I served on 3 different subs but that’s a different story) Great to hear all types of history about ships and dozers.

Wow, that is a coincidence, what is his name, I might know him. My home was the after engine room with some time spent in the after fire room.
