A few of the small parts in the kit have changed since the J models but the number has been around forever:confused:

OM that is the kit number but it seems someone on here lately said you can only buy separate parts anymore but I don,t know.Possibly Catrat your best bet would be to call your Cat dealer.I don,t know what town you live in but your dealer should be Beckwith or Cleveland Bros.both the same Co. now as Cleveland bought out Beckwith about a year & a half ago but they still run under the separate names yet.The State College # is (814)237-8338 or if you need another branch number come back on here as I have all of Clevelands numbers. The number for all the central & western Pa. numbers to get in contact is 888-232-5948

Thanks Old Magnet and SJ i will go down to the cat dealer and see what Andy can come up with.
I appears that to get a plate made by a machinest to put on where the present oil filter mounts. And put on one of them remote units may be an option. just need a good place on block to mount it:)
thanks SJ i have got to know one of the desk guys at Cat here and he helpes me what he can. Its just this 60 year old stuf is not compulcated enough for the younger generation:eek: .

Hi catrat,
I would just go visit your local Cat salvage yard or try
www.tractorparts.com
(General Gear). Most any J,T,U model Cat will have the conversion parts. Just make sure you get them all. There is nothing to wear out so any of them should be good to go.

Catrat, where are you located in central Pa. & is Cleveland Bros. your dealer or their other Co.that they own, Beckwith Machinery? I worked for Cleveland Bros.at their Wilkes Barre Pa. branch for 36 yrs. & retired the end of 1991 & ran the engine rebuilding shop there for about 35 yrs.
