Hi everyone, it has been awhile since I've posted on BB.
My d*mn computer needs to be fixed AGAIN! so, I don't have time to do
a search, and was hoping someone could put a picture of head nut
tightening sequence and amount on here for a 1u, 212 blade starting engine.
Thanks! CN

I have never seen a torque tightening sequence for any of the horizontal ponies, and the books say only .. "tighten evenly to 35 ft lbs".
The heads on ponies aren't rocket science, they're only a lid to cover the piston, bore and valves, like all flatheads.
Additionally, the ponies don't run any more than about 6.5 or 7:1 compression at best, so it's not like you have to hold in extreme cylinder pressures.

Start from the centre and work out, can't recall any sequence being given in
the D46U shop manual, D8H manual doesn't show any either.

RW is right, start from the center area of nuts (bolts) and work out. Always go about half the final tightening and then the 2nd. time around go the full tighteness on any head. Also I always went the 3rd. time to make sure all nuts (bolts) were up to correct torque or tightness and none missed.
