D25J Engine Weight was created by oldparker
Can someone give me an approximate weight for a D25J complete engine? Also, how much weight for a block with just the crank, pistons and rods? Thanks, John

A complete, basic D3400 standard power unit (engine complete with pony, air cleaner, flywheel housing, fan, and cast legs to support the engine), weighs 1890 lbs. This figure doesn't appear to include the radiator, according to the picture. 1800 lbs sounds like a reasonable figure to allow for your complete engine.

The basic block with crank, rods, pistons (normally referred to as "short" engine) would probably weigh around 900-1000 lbs.
