Heated up and froze the clutch while trying to pull start it last summer. Still sits on the farmers field. We dragged it close to a road for pickup. I sill need to unfreeze this clutch at any cost, might just be a parts cat ,any thoughts.

Note. under tank 3j serial # tranny clutch housing serial# starts with 5b

Take off the inspection cover and watch while you move the clutch lever back and forth. If the lever doesn't move, it's linkage problems. If the lever does move, it could be one or more of several things; clutch disk stripped the teeth and locked up, release collar broken or worn, broken links or even possibly a loose adjustment lock has somehow allowed it to tighten up. You might back off the clutch adjustment and see if that does any good before going deeper.

Unfortunately I don't think the J models have the two piece transmission input shaft, otherwise you could remove the tranny lid and pull the clutch out. You'll probably have to split the engine from the tranny to do anything major.
