Hey OM,
The D6 I bought from TractorDon needs air filters badly. If you remember it is a factory direct start. It has dry filter can normally where oil bath would be. It has breather pipe (which normally enters filter up high) that bends down the dash and 90's up into the bottom. The top of the can has pre cleaner dust bowl the size of a d6-c and the top and is held in place with victalic style clamp. Primary elemant is held down by six bolts going down through can and through 90 bend. Secondary filter is missing. I have no part numbers. I can not find the style in my parts books. Can you help with numbers-glen

Hi Glen,
Got one of those filters myself.....although I'd rather have the oil bath unit.
Outer filter Wix #42047 (NAPA #2047) (Cat # 4M8047)
Inner filter Wix #42048 (NAPA # 2048) (Cat # 4M8048)
Price range $65 - $100 for the set depending on where you get them.

Hi, 7UPuller.
That's a pretty fair climb for that D6 with a loaded Cat 60 scraper in tow. I begin to see why you had to get the backhoe down in that hole to finish it off and then drag the back hoe out.
Thanks to you and Willie for the photos.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

check fleetfilters.com they sell napa filters cheaper than most napa stores buy them for. they also have price breaks if you order more. normally the price break equals the shipping cost.
I always just order cases for my trucks and cars when I make an order to get more discounts.

Glen,
I have a parts catalogue for 2H1 to 2H3247. Does your Cat fall in this series?
