I have a cat 10 autopatrol serial #4K26.It ran when I parked it,now it seems that the motor is struck.Does anyone have any throught about getting it loose again.I tried putting pen. oil in the cly. Is there anywhere I can get a head gasket for it, in case i pull the head off. Thanks Mike D

Quite often head gaskets can be reused with some Permatex. .it may not be the "correct" way but you can probably get away with it once. As far as the engine being stuck, was the exhaust covered? If water got into the engine, one or more cylinders may have rusted up, plus the valves may be stuck. I'd take the valve cover off first and try to move the valves. .if one or more are stuck it's time to pull the head and look further.
My favorite way of getting pistons moving again is to put a diesel soaked rag on the stuck one(s) and light it. After the fire goes out and the piston(s) reach body temp, I try to turn the engine over. Repeat if needed. Sometimes it takes a wooden block on top of the piston and an application with a molecular realignment instrument (12 lb sledge or bfh to non machinists). Once the piston moves, it's just a matter of time, sweat and effort to get the crank to turn a full revolution.
