Jason, I am not aware of a registry for the caterpillar ten. There was a fellow doing one for the d-2 and d-4. I think it would be a great idea. I always wanted to do one for the high tens, as all of the high ten serial numbers are clustered in a certain range.

Hey Matt
I thought it would be great to see what is out there and were they are. Do you think we can get one started through the ACMOC site? I think that we should try to start something, can't hurt. By the way my tracks are done I can't get there for a week or so. I thought in three weeks I can get there I have to drive to TN to drop of the twenty two. I will talk to you.

It seems that there is still a lot of Ten's around based on the talk on this site and pictures in the newsletter. With the production around 4500 or so I might guess there must be a couple of thousand or more from restored tractors to rusted hulks still around. A registry would be interesting. Is this because the Ten was so small it made it more desirable to collect?

I am not sure I just got into the crawlers and have had other cat crawlers I still have a D4 and a few D2's I have just really taken to the Tens, and you can put a lot more on the trailer.
Let's start a count

Why just limit this registry to the Ten. I think it would be a great idea if this site would have a registry on all of the old Cats. Especially the gas models. As I talk with people who are not in the Know about Caterpillar crawlers (even amany tractor collectors) they do not realize that Caterpillar was at one time strickty Gas tractors. So a registry owned and operated by ACMOC would be a great website to send them to. Just serial numbers and name would be sufficient for me. The archive section of the main ACMOC site would be a great place to put this!

ACME has such a site run by a gentleman in Manitoba (MB Cat). It shows the owner, s/n and what the critter has such as rope start, direct start, type of blade, winch, belly pan etc. It's set up by year and type for each model. Quite a few of us on here also are in ACME.

Maybe the club could create a new folder called registry (on the same page as Discussion, Forsale/wanted, etc. Within the folder we could start a sticky for each machine ten, high ten, small twenty, etc. and individuals could post their name, location, and machine(s) serial numbers. Just a thought.
Mike- Did you buy and machines from out west?
