Pete; I need to put new brake linning on my 9U and the parts book calls for paer no. 8B832 . I have some maybe not enough but I have plenty of no. 6Y1935 not sure what they go on. When matching the 2 I can not see a diff. could it be an up graded part no. on what?

Hi Willie,
Sorry, I don't have anything that shows that part number but could very well be a late number. May even be a number for wet back end shoes.
On the other hand if they fit the rivet pattern and are 1/4 in. thick and overall same size they probably will work. If the number is for wet shoes they are a different composition.

Pete,
I used Regal Corp's web site to check on the availability of the part, they will tell what they have available, along with the updated part number, same thing works with Cat, Heavyquip, American Crane and Tractor. etc. Some of the sites an account is needed and some not.

Thanks Josh,
I frequently use the Heavyquip site but didn't get around to that yet. Kept following the model chain of D6's and 5's in the parts books but didn't get to that number.....thought maybe you had the NPR or other access.

I do have a NPR, but the last sections were printed in 1969, great for older stuff, but for the newer numbers I have to search around.
