Front CCU problems

Need some advice on this CCU. It's on my D8 14a. Last summer I bought a set of clutch plates from General Gear (Great service) The new disks are bi-metalic and the old ones were organic. Didn't give it much thought until I had to adjust the CCU about once a week and noticed lots of black dust around the adjusting parts. Tonight I ran out of adjustment and could not pick up the blade. These things also screeched and howled when lifting the blade. You can hear it on my youtube video, just look under D8 14a. I suspect the bi-metalic disks are for a wet deck machine and this is not the right application for them. Does anyone sell organic plates for these?
Of course I only have about 2 hours work left on the current job and then I can brong it home for some other repairs. So tomorrow I'll be mix and matching old and new disks to get it done. Other than the CCU and the belly pan falling off the old machine make us a bunch of money and I show it no mercy.

The 2F8621 and 2J5513 (grooved) metallic dry discs have been used for a long time for both steering clutch and ccu applications and normally wear very well.
May be another problem with unit.
Cat may be your only source for the old style but I'll bet they have converted to.

This discussion makes the ccu sound like it is a vegetarian!

OK, for those of us who are not in the know, what to heck is an "organic" clutch plate or part????

And which two metals make up the bi-metallic?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Offhand I'd say the "organic" plates are the old style with asbestos and brass pressed together into replaceable segments/disks that can be riveted onto the old center plates while the "bimetallic" plates would be the steel plates with brass sintered together on the center plates and not rebuildable.
