Far newer than any Cat that I have owned. Replaces the second newest a 1961 977H that is beyond wore out.
The new addition is a 1975 model, 3306 powered, sealed lubed track, 4-1 bucket, ripper and rops.. It is a really straight looking and runs very well. Only repair needed is rebuild one track tension cylinder.

That's a nice one. I have always wanted a machine with a loader to convert to a brush pushing machine for our walnut orchards, or better yet, a 4 in 1 to do clean ups.
Thank you for sharing your new acquisition. JM

Brian18A they are nice machine to operate, plenty of push with them and dig well, the one we had did have pretty bald grouser plates that would not mark the limestone we were cutting for blocks, it was back up to the D8K, we used them to take the end of block benches off as the saw would leave the saw length behind each cut, loading tip truck I was only concerned on bumping front of machine into truck, plenty of lift and power to do everything we had to do, my brother bought a complete ROPS cab with Heater/airCon etc from Canada somewhere to put in it, at least we had proper shade then not the water pipe and tarp roof.
