I noticed a video about this railway regauging a DH locomotive from 3'6" to 2'6" and saw that it was a mechanical drive (Voith transmission) with jackshafts from a dropbox to each of the two bogie. Wikipedia mentioned that the class has a Cat D355E engine of 470hp, and I wondered if this was a typo and they meant to list it as a D353E? I couldn't find any online reference to a D355E engine
Cheers,

I can't tell you much about the diesel locomotive that they have up there, but I could dig up a picture of my late grandfather onboard the locomotive when a section of the line reopened as a tourist railway back in the '90's. I could also find a picture of him as a young man on the original steam locomotive that operated on the line from Moe to Walhalla when he worked as a fireman on the engine I believe.
Irrelevant piece of information but I have a proud family connection to the railway nonetheless.
