Hello all: Does anyone know the firing order for a Cat 60?  We can't find it in the operators or service manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Firing order for the Caterpillar Sixty is:
1 - 3 - 4 - 2
The very earliest Best Sixties fired 1 - 2 - 4 - 3

Form P-1228, Operating Instructions for Caterpillar SIXTY Tractor, Page 6, Specifications

Thank you for the reply. That page was missing from our operators manual. Cheers!

Back To Basics -

When both valves are closed on #1 pull it through until next set of valves are both closed, that would be #2 in this case.
Next set would be 3rd in firing order and so on down the line.
With a Sixty or Thirty that is very easy to see, valve cover comes off easily.

Many firing orders on engines were cast in the heads, the blocks or the exhaust manifolds. Cat with idividual heads of course would not have stamps or cast marks on heads.
