Hello guys;
The gent. that lives one farm over came by today. Very odd ? (its a drive by and wave type relationship) anyway.
He stopped to say that his one barn is starting to fall in on itself and would I be interested in a old crawler inside(never knew one was there:eek: )
took a min.and drove over to look. time well spent! D4 the tag is very wore
I think 5U and that is a guess. fair sheet metal chain over hood holding blade up no seat.
What would be a fair offer? (I need more faded yellow paint setting around)

greyhead - The D4 series prefixes ran in the following order ..
4GXXXX (1936-1939) ..
7JXXXX (1939-1943) ..
2TXXXX (1943-1945) ..
5TXXXX (1945-1947) ..
7UXXXX (wide gauge, 1947-1959) ..
6UXXXX (narrow gauge, 1947-1959) ..
The value of the tractor depends on whether it is complete .. whether it runs .. the condition of the undercarriage .. and whether it has any attachments.
Starting point for tractor value .. is scrap value, for an incomplete tractor with poor condition undercarriage, that doesn't run .. right through to $6K-$8K for a good condition tractor with excellent undercarriage. You would need to supply more complete information to narrow the value down.
