To the scraper guys out there in ACMOC land and beyond, I am compiling a list of Caterpillar #40 scraper cans. There were say, less than 800 built and shipped over the planet. I thought it would be a good idea to make a list of the serial numbers, owner, location and any special things about them. Importantly, whether they are restored/usable condition, or clapped out.
I am fortunate enough to own a couple, and would like to know everyone that has one, and perhaps others on the prowl for one to add to their collection of cool old iron.
I will compile the list after I get some feedback.
Pictures of your scraper would be nice too. I might have to make some photo books as well.
Please entertain me with your 40. Thank you, JM.

Keep them coming boys and girls. Although the list is short, it is growing. I asked on the FB "Pull Scraper" page too, and some nice folks from New Zealand chimed in as well.
Big thank you for the California guys (you know who you are) that provided some information and photos as well.
This might be cheaper and more fun than actually owning one! LOL. JM
