2189 125th St NW PO Box 15, Rice, MN, United States, Minnesota (320) 393-7272

Old Magnet, Mark's Magneto sold out, supposedly to someone in Minnesota but the website gives a 404 error. The above is the "new location". I found some Prestolite parts on evilbay so ordered those. Ordered a no doubt chines condenser which probably will work long enough to get it running hope I am wrong about foreign parts.

Thanks for all the help here.

Did you actually call that number for Mark's? I purchased from him a couple weeks ago. You have to call, he doesn't have a web site.
Apparently at one time there was more than one Marks Magneto Service and the one in Minn. folded.

I did not call, just saw a bunch of chatter and tried the site listed on Farcebook. Good to know that he is still in biz. I will be pulling the magneto today as well as the carb. If I need anything more other than points condenser and coil I will try Mark. Before I pull the magneto I want to check to see if the diesel moves with the pony engaged as well as the clutch being free. 12 years is a long time. Wondering if the steering clutches are stuck?

Good news, everything is free as the pony spins and the main diesel turns. pony carb and mag being rebuilt now. Should I be concerned about the old fuel and is there a water drain?

I have a old 2007 product booklet from Mark's Magneto Service in McDonald Road, Colchester, Ct, is this the one still operating, the phone number was 860 537 0376, he listed parts for the old mags.
Thanks

Hi Mike,
Yes, that's the number I use. He also has a Fax number 860-537-3683. No internet though.
I also have purchased from an oufit called "Pollywog Harbor" on the net and have been pleased.
At least it's on the Left Coast.

Thanks Pete, I just looked at Pollywogs parts on Fleabay and that is a very impressive range, plus they have a 100% satisfaction rating, that is very hard to maintain, so they must be doing a great job.
Mike
