I have installed some new parts to my clutch assembly ( Dry Type ) new drive plate and drive links, 2 shackles and 1 clutch plate. All went well until I tried to install the drive links to the pins on the motor flywheel. They appear to be to long and the shackle and link want to hit the bellhousing. Do I have the drive plate in backwords? Are drive links pushed or pulled by the motor. The drive links are a after market type and appear to be some type of plastic. I found the old drive plate to have the bearing missing completely and cracked and 2 shackles broken along with 1 drive link. Any help would be appericated.
Thanks

The drive plate is pulled by the links to the flywheel. I believe a change to pushing was recommended on the D8, but not other tractors.
SRB says to add enough washers to the flywheel drive pins to keep the drive plate from quite touching the front clutch disk with the clutch disengaged. Then install the links and fill the remaining space on the pins with washers before installing the cotter pins.
