Could someone tell me any specifications on cable for my #60 scraper ? I broke the ejector cable today, found a roll of 1/2'' cable with a working load of 4600 lbs. it has the wire center. Will this be O.K or do I need something else ??
Thanks

Thanks OM The cable I got probably is not quality stuff and won't last as long as the original, but we are trying to beat the rain so I will give it a try.
Thanks again

Just make sure it is right hand lang lay. I knew a guy that got a good deal on cable, but it was left hand. It unraveled during use, and what a mess!

Yes it is the right hand lang lay, I made sure of that, got the new spool on today and everything re-threaded, what a job for one guy ! Hauled mud all day with no problems but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks

Most important thing when releasing the clutches is not to let the bowl or apron drop or slam shut and unspool cable off the control drum, it will over lap and crush the cable on the drum, gradually release the brake with short movements back and forth, this will keep tension on cable while releasing.
