Hello all, I am brand new to the club and this forum. A few weeks ago I purchased a DW21 married to a Hyster roller. I have spent enough time on it to clean up the drive section linkages etc, grease fittings, & got it running after about 5 years sitting. I have ordered a service manual but in the meantime I thought I would reach out and ask a few question. I need a new turbo. Anyone know a part number or resource for replacement? Really only need the hot side housing. Also during its sit someone stole the copper brake lines. Does anyone know what the little aluminum chambers are right before the brake chambers. One of them has an fitting hole open to the sky where the fitting was broken off. Wondering about function and if it is ruined due to exposure or can it be cleaned out and re-installed. I am posting a few walk around pics for anyone that is interested of have suggestions/comments. I plan to get this machine operrable and use it to build some dams and roads on my farm.

The broken piece is a quick release valve should be available at a truck parts store.
Good luck on the turbo. You might consider remove the turbo and having the fuel pump turned down.

What part do you consider broken? That is a quick release/dump valve for the air brake system. Inlet is at the top, side port (with elbow) goes to the brake chamber, bottom port is exhaust (open). Other side port is plugged. It's just a spring loaded diaphragm valve.
Turbo is/was an Airesearch unit now Garret. As near as I can tell without parts book it is a 2M4242 Cat Number (D337 engine). Current version would be a Garret T1404 unit number 403680-0025

Bendix QR-2 quick release valve. Pretty inexpensive at any truck parts store. JM

Thank you! after dismantling the dump valve I figured out what it was and the rubber diaphragm was in fact bad. New part ordered. Thanks for the turbo part number I will look into that. Im sure I will have a lot more questions before this is finished!
