Hello. I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue on an 85J 955L, which I believe is in the steering clutches or steering booster. I need adapter 5S4965 to check the steering booster pressure, or dimensions / pictures so I can make an adapter myself. I could also take a complete 5S5123 test kit. I'm not near the machine most of the time, or I would just take measurements and figure out how to make something that works, but that would waste a long trip since I didn't figure that out last time I was there. Can anyone help? Thanks. Tim

The test adapter would most likely easier to get from cat or if they give you some details for it, visit a fitting company they may have on a shelf? If you can get pressure ratings one gauge could do the job, in the past pressure test kits are out of the ball park regarding price.

Thank you, good idea on the fitting company. I'll try that. I haven't asked anyone at Cat about the plate, but can't find any availability/details on it anywhere online. Yes, I have the 1000psi gauge I need. That is the easy part.
