Is there a new link to the store?  All I see are memberships. Where is the merchandise? Thanks

(hopefully this will provide a bit of insight into the situation, there has been a lot of discussion on the club operations, all on the forum)

The changes in the staffing of the club have certainly had some impacts and the BoD and volunteers are working hard ( for the betterment of the club and members).
The Store is just one of the multitude of situations and problems requiring attention. As BoD and President of the club have stated, this is not going to be an overnight fix.

The recent and ongoing issue with the lastest issue of the magazine should illustrate just one facet of the problems the volunteers and BoD are facing. Call them growing pains or glitches but they are not easily or quickly resolved. Some problems are beyond the immediate control of the BoD and volunteer staff.

Another example is the proposed "Quilt Raffle", and the "legal" issues that arose from that proposal. Just one more issue that was not expected that takes time to resolve.

yes the club i helped found held a series of raffles as fund raisers years ago and yes every state has thier own rules about raffles and art unions. some jurisdictions require you to have a permit from the gaming regulator to hold any raffles others it only certain types of raffles others it depends on the value of the prize or number of tickets. then if you add in the international element it gets even more tricky.

well a raffle would be more fair. as any ticket can be a winner. rather than he with the fattest wallet.
