Dewets,
I was also at Little Chasterton, Cheshire Cat introduced us in the evening when I was getting my BBQ ready.

The D2 in question belongs to a local Chapter 2 member, it started off in life as a wide gauge R2 6J series tractor. At some point in it's life, it was repowered with a D3400 diesel engine. This was a common conversion after WW2, when a large number of military surplus D3400 engines were available, which offered more power and better fuel efficiency than the original R2 petrol \ parafin engines.

Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Regards, David

Hi David!
It was good to meet you too!

And thanx 4 the info on the D2.

"Up here" summer's on her way: Was a good 27deg C yesterday, but today a bit cooler.

I'm putting together a DVD of the Little Casterton, and that D2 sure "stars" in there as well as the D7, some other Cats, and also the Diesel Forty.

PM me your postal address please.

Thanx
