Wilwingo when I signed up it was difficult, and I had to phone an administrator. He made it clear he was volunteering and I could tell he didn’t like me calling. I had to call several times before he had the energy to answer. Then he referred my problem to someone in England. This one was nice but it took two tries to connect me. So I don’t know if this site don’t generate enough money to stay afloat or what. I will not complain about a book I don’t need but I was looking forward to it. But when time comes to pay up again, I just can’t do it. Mike hudson

Mike,
What kind of difficulties were you having? Was the renew page not working properly, or some other thing? If we are having a problem with any of them, I'd like to get it resolved.
Let me know, thank you.

my copy always arrives later than other members but im on the other side of the world. so the vagaries of transport are to blame for that. i can understand the frustration.
what gets me is australia post cuts services to save money becuase people arent using it as much but due to the cuts and increased fees even less people use thier services.
its mad it really is.
and yes the club is staffed by volunteers who have other jobs and responsibilities not all of them are retirees so the day job has to come first family has to come first. and yes i need to take my own advice too.

Kurk. Thanks for your concern. I was having login issues. I followed instructions and it just would not work. So I phoned and it finally got resolved. I didn’t get charged until after I could login in so that was nice. But I was so disappointed by the time I got on here I would have never joined if I had know all this. But it all worked out and hopefully our books will come. I’m not as impressed with all this knowledge yet. A lot of it I watch on YouTube but I guess some don’t have access to that. I chime in on here if I think it might be beneficial, but I’m sure I don’t fit in with the old sages Again thanks for your efforts. Mike Hudson

D4Angelo. I partly agree. A true volunteer has a good and helpful attitude. The one I talked to on the git go was fussy. That isn’t a true volunteer. I’m sorry if some don’t agree but I think this. If you cannot serve with a good spirit then please step down, no matter the compensated amount. Thanks Mike

Ten days since my original post. Still no print magazine in NW Pennsylvania.
Three pages on this post and no answer I can see when the magazine scheduled for mailing in October will be sent out.
Has anybody seen a print copy yet?

The mailing list has gone to the Printer, it is now all in the hands of the printer as to when they cab schedule the print run and have it mailed. I gather Jan is waiting to hear from the Printer as to when this is likely to happen.

Will and others,
Neil has it right. We missed our scheduled printing time and now are in the queue not unlike when you are at the supermarket and get in line to check out. Then you realize you forgot something and go back to get it. You return to the line only to find there are four more people in line that were not there when you left. I am certainly not pleased with this situation and it is not in my control. My work is there in electronic copy for those who can't wait.

Hi, Jan Meermans.
Quote:
"Jan Meermans, Magazine Committee of One "
Unquote.
Does this mean that you are the magazine committee for a magazine called, "One", - - - - - - - - or are you the only member of the magazine committee for this club?
If I can help in any way, just say the word, M8. I am on limited 'net access for about another week but should have better access for about 4 months after that.
Just azza note of interest, I see some people whinging about not getting their print magazine but I don't see any offers to help get it out there. STRANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just my 0.02.
You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
