Zenith TU-4C info needed was created by Dozerman51

Working on a TU-4C pony carb body. Have removed the throttle plate and shaft. How do you remove the choke plate from the shaft. This shaft has a slit in it where the plate is set. I have removed the 2 screws from the plate and shaft, but I can’t seem to remove the plate by lifting it out of the top of the carb body. Does it have to be removed from the bottom? Thanks for any advice.
