Finished, for now, my D2 and thought you would all like to see a few pictures of it. this winter I will replace the thermostat, if there is even on in there. engine will not come up to temp so I suspect it is missing. Got the steering clutches to free up with the help of a tree! runs great. fits me a lot better with the seat in the rear most position. will be looking and hope to get a canopy of some sort, woods or just the roof 4 post setup. Battery and toolboxes are not correct but what I could come up with.

just becuase the tool box isnt period correct who cares.
does it do the job is what matters.
if you go to the absolute enth degree restoring it you'd be scared to work it. and that's no fun. part of the fun with old tractors and crawlers is putting them to light work to show joe public what these old girls actually did.

my idea of a tractor pull is a set of disc or chisel plows buried to working depth making the old girls bark a little.

I am located in Pembroke, NH, USA. I do plan to work it. The restoration work I did was all mechanical, no paint. The machine was seriously abused with some major damage to the starting side of it. Someone in Onondaga, NY restore this machine back in the 90's. Pulling the flywheel out of the clutch access hole was the big task. I know it will not do what my D5H I just sold would do, but with a root rake I think it will make a nice grubbing rig.

That D2 is quite the cute one! Glad it is ready to go back to work/play. Shine up the blade and make some $$$ with it. Thanks for sharing pictures. JM

Nice work! That battery box looks perfect to me. I agree 100% with Rome, if they are too nice you won't want to play with them, and that ain't no fun!
