Tag on Engine was created by Mike Hudson
Hello Folks I have a tag on the right side of the engine on my d2 caterpillar.  It says .030 rod and main.  Am I safe to think it was overhauled with that spec.  Thank you. Mike Hudson

AS an opinion it may be correct or it may not. The only way for certain is to check each rod and main individually. I have seen rebuilt engines that have different regrind diameters within the same block. Then again it may be a professional job with all diameters agreeing with the tag. .
