Hi, Folks.
Here is a link to an interesting old sideboom pipelayer. Can anybody tell me - WITHOUT going to the comments - what is different about this unit and the possible history of the differences. Remember, I said "WITHOUT going to the comments."

No idea on the history but it has the extended track frame on the left side and the variable counterweight on the right. Both used for more capacity.

If my understanding is correct, Cat's sidebooms had the extendable counterweight as standard by then but the history of the extended left hand track is a 'nuther' story.
