at this years rally there was quite the display of howard rotavators and market garden tractors. one exhibitor came from as far away as king island in Tasmania. there was a large number of tractors. only one cat was on display. there was also a number of classic trucks, stationary engines and a working horse display too.
a good time was had by all and there was a good crowd of viewing public too.

the organisers say next year will be a big one as it is the Biloela centenary.

where is Biloela? its a small town in the central Qld coalfields, 569km nnw of Brisbane and 120km inland from Gladstone.

it wasnt to bad this year. i was getting around in shorts. i did have a flannelette shirt on though but i have been there a few yrs back at daybreak and it was bloody freezing.

we stayed at the hotel settlers in a 2 bedroom cabin which was nice at 130 bucks a night. there is a woolworths supermarket along with a group of speciality stores these are under 10 minutes from the rally grounds.
to get to the rally grounds as a exhibitor you turn right onto the Burnett highway heading towards Banana.

You need to get your eyes checked trainzkid . I saw two crawlers on display . A Cat 22 and a D2 with a towed scoop . There was also a 1937 i believe Cat grader.
And if you know where to look a Cat 30.
Lance Jones and others were there waving the flag for Chapter 18 .
Lance had his 4WD Holder tractor there . .

i saw the d2 and the oliver and i spoke to lance about his holder didnt even know who he was. i didnt get to have that much of a look around as i had 2 stationary engines to keep a eye on. we had them running all day so someone had to be there. and yes there is a few rusty relics hiding in the weeds.
