A big shout out to TractorDon and Brett Atkinson!
What a great feeling when members of 2 different local chapters (17 and 15) collaborate. 
Don found a super clean D68U destined to become scrap metal, and true to any loyal collector, felt it needed saving.
Brett needed to hone his “hoarding” skills, so a deal was made, and the 8U gets to reside in Dixon, CA!
I can already see it getting a makeover and be part of a working, income producing collection.
Thanks again for both of you for caring and making the effort to save some cool iron. JM
