Hi anyone know the rotation of the inner shaft looking at rear of machine? I believe it to be ccw just like flywheel but wanted to make sure.  thanks.

Someone must know ? I just know D4 7u goes the opposite from a D6 9u. Because the small serious of BeGe pumps need to have pump moved from one side to the other if you change from a D4 to a D6.

I don't have a PTO for any of my D4's but the easiest way to see what direction it turns is start the engine engage the PTO and look which way it turns.
I looked at the parts book diagram and see that there's no idler gear in the PTO gearing so, the shaft would be turning opposite of the engine. Clockwise viewed from the rear.
But to answer your question about the inner shaft, It goes straight through the transmission and turns Counter clockwise.
