Hey Folks,I know it is not a CAT, but hoping someone here can point me to where I can find a starter for this 1949 IH TD9. Trying to get it running to help my Father -N-Law sell it. Starter Model # 1108940 Delco-Remy 12 Volt. Thanks Robert in Irwinville GA 31760

TractorDon who frequents this website may have access to one, as he has been working on some red tractors. I have had luck on Amazon in the past, not exactly cheap btw. JM

A IH wheel tractor that had the very same engine was a WD 9 . So using the internet you could look for starters for that machine at the reproduction parts place more ammed at the Midwest tractor wheel tractors.

No idea on this brand or if it is in stock but it says its a direct replacement for that delco unit. Website appears to be a legitimate company though I've never used them. enginepartssuperstore.com/Category/70-49...BRAND-Starter-Motor/

Another site with remanufactured one. www.waltstractors.com/acatalog/UT2673

Not sure why that bottom link won't paste properly as a url, but if you copy and paste the blue text and the part that didn't hyperlink it will take you to the remanufactured one.
