1964 D6C turbo installation

We finally found the proper turbo which has the vent line to the crankcase (thanks to this forum and the ole timers).  That being said, we're going to install the new turbo soon, but I have a question.... In dealing with car turbo installations there's usually a 'pre lube' you do before you start it the first time.  Is that a requirement for this machine?  If so, what is the process in doing so.  I have the feed line of oil, the return line for oil and the vent line to the crankcase (no plug to pre lube as in car turbos).  Any help you can provide will be GREATLY appreciated!

Cheers!
Keith

Just use an oil can and put some oil in the top port of the center housing then install the lines

Thanks for the info, last thing I want is this thing to blow up or seize before we even get rolling.

Just start it at low idle - that's all you need to to. Don't bother increasing the rpm until you're confident lube is flowing through it. In practical terms, that probably just means letting it idle for a minute or two after confirming that it has good oil pressure. If you're really nervous, pop the drain line off momentarily and confirm it's making brown ice cream
